A shocking claim has been circulating online: archaeologists have discovered a vast network of tunnels and mysterious underground structures buried 2 kilometers beneath the Great Pyramids of Giza!
If true, this discovery could completely change everything we thought we knew about ancient Egyptian civilization. But is it real? Let’s break down the facts and separate truth from fiction.

Where Did This Claim Come From?
The viral claim originates from a scientific study published in the journal MDPI in 2022 by researchers Filippo Biondi and Corrado Malanga from the University of Strathclyde (Scotland) and the University of Pisa (Italy). The study used Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) technology to scan the pyramids, revealing hidden structures inside and beneath them.
But what does this study actually say?
Debunking the Viral Misinformation
Some online sources have distorted the findings, falsely claiming that:
❌ A press conference on March 15 revealed a massive underground city beneath the pyramids
❌ Scientists found five massive identical structures under the pyramids, connected by complex tunnels
❌ They discovered 8 cylindrical shafts, each 648 meters deep, ending in giant underground cubes
❌ The tunnels stretch over 2 kilometers beneath all three pyramids
🚨 These claims are completely FALSE! There was no press conference, and the original study does NOT mention any of these discoveries.
What Did the Study Actually Find?
While the exaggerated claims are false, the actual study did reveal some fascinating discoveries inside and beneath the pyramids. Here are the real findings:
🔹 Two massive ascending corridors inside the Great Pyramid
- These corridors, inclined at 42 degrees, start at the pyramid’s base and reach halfway up.
- Their function is unknown, but they could change our understanding of how the pyramids were built.
🔹 A hidden horizontal passage inside the pyramid
- A 90-meter-long corridor connects the ascending corridors inside the pyramid.
- This suggests an advanced internal engineering design we didn’t know about.
🔹 Descending tunnels beneath the pyramids
- Two tunnels—one on the east side and one on the west side—lead underground.
- They are connected by a horizontal passage under the pyramid’s base.
🔹 A complex network of underground chambers
- Beneath the northern part of the pyramid, researchers found a system of interconnected tunnels and small chambers.
- Interestingly, similar underground structures exist beneath other Egyptian temples and pyramids.
🔹 A hidden chamber beneath the Queen’s Chamber
- This newly discovered chamber was completely unknown before and may be part of a deeper internal system.
🔹 The mysterious ‘Big Void’ inside the pyramid
- This large empty space was originally detected in 2017 using Muon scanning technology.
- The new study confirms its existence with radar scans.
- It is as large as the Grand Gallery but has no known purpose.
🔹 Secret passageways connecting the Big Void to other pyramid structures
- These could provide clues about the true function of the pyramids.
What Does This Mean for Our Understanding of the Pyramids?
The real findings from this study suggest that the pyramids were far more complex than just tombs.
For years, alternative researchers have suggested that the pyramids might have served:
🔹 As an advanced energy generator – As proposed by Christopher Dunn in The Giza Power Plant.
🔹 As a resonance chamber – Some theories suggest they were designed to harness sound frequencies.
🔹 As a machine with an unknown function – Even Nikola Tesla speculated that pyramids could be energy transmitters.
Conclusion: A Discovery That Raises More Questions Than Answers
While no underground city was found beneath the pyramids, this study confirms that hidden chambers, tunnels, and unknown structures exist inside and underneath the pyramids.
These discoveries challenge the traditional narrative and suggest that the real purpose of the pyramids is still a mystery waiting to be solved.
🚨 What do you think? Could the pyramids have served a greater purpose than just tombs?

What Dave said.
Any progress in Discovery something new about the pyramids is covered up quick by the Egyptian government because it’s purpose right now is to bring in money to Egyptian oligarchs and until they can harness a new information that can guarantee them more money as long as they want it to flow we will not learn anything more unless there is a big accident on their part. Purely power, greed and fear driven!
